Experience the Holiday Magic at Lewisberry, York County, Pennsylvania

Discover the seasonal charm of Lewisberry, York County with a heartwarming holiday tradition hosted by Marie Urich at her residence, 235 Krone Rd. This impressive display has been a staple of Pennsylvania’s Christmas festivities for the past fifty years.

The History of the Display

“This tradition began during my childhood, when my sister and I used to decorate for Christmas,” shares Caroline Garner, Marie’s daughter. “Never did we imagine it would evolve into such a significant event.”

Caroline and her husband, Ken, who live next door, aid Marie in growing this spectacular event every year. “It has expanded immensely over time,” Ken adds with a chuckle. “It’s grown beyond our wildest expectations.”

About the Display

A unique feature of this display is its comprehensive coverage. Not limited to the front yards of the two houses, the decorations sprawl into the interiors too. Marie’s favorite – the snowmen – find a cozy spot in her den, which is visible to the visitors outside.

Apart from the traditional Christmas elements like Santas and reindeers, the backyard exhibits a plethora of trees and snowmen, accessible through a designated walkway.

Contributing to a Good Cause

“Our fathers served in the military – Army and Navy. We thought it would be fitting to give back to our community by supporting the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors,” says Caroline.

Visitors are welcome to appreciate this festive marvel every Wednesday to Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a humble request to make a donation towards this noble cause. A box is available to receive cash or check donations.
