Sophomore sprinter from Cheltenham finishes as top in PA, ranks 39th in the U.S.

Pennsylvania’s Rising Sprint Star Amirah Nesmith
At the sophomore level, Cheltenham High School is home to Pennsylvania’s top sprinter, Amirah Nesmith. This young athlete shone brightly in the 200-meter final of the prestigious U.S. Marine Corps Holiday Classic held at the Armory in New York City on December 29. Her impressive timing of 25.14 set a new record as the fastest in Pennsylvania.

Amirah’s exceptional performance didn’t just secure her a second-place finish in the race. It also earned her a commendable 39th rank among sprinters nationwide, solidifying her standing as a rising star in U.S. track and field.
