PA Farm Show is Seeking Singers for a ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ Performance | Entertainment

PA Farm Show Offers Unique Opportunity for Local Singers

The opportunity to sing at the much-anticipated PA Farm Show is now open for auditions. The show organizers are inviting Pennsylvania residents to submit their renditions of “The Star-Spangled Banner”. Videos should be unaccompanied and have the potential to be featured at the iconic annual event running from Jan. 6-13.

“Our 2024 theme, Connecting Our Communities, aims to celebrate the bonds that bring us together,” shares Russell Redding, Pennsylvania’s secretary of agriculture. “There’s nothing better than starting each day by connecting Farm Show visitors with their pride in our country and our commonwealth.”

How to Participate in the PA Farm Show Singing Competition

Participation is simple. Interested individuals or groups can upload an a cappella video of their performance to YouTube, and submit the link to the PA Farm Show via agcontests@pa.gov. Alternatively, you can comment the YouTube link on the PA Farm Show’s Facebook posts that mention the contest.

The contest is open to both groups and individuals. Selected singers will kick off each day of the PA Farm Show, and some may even be selected for other special events, including the opening ceremony.

Submissions should be made by 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 12. The PA Farm Show’s Facebook page will then post the submissions from Nov. 14-21, and the ones with the most reactions on Facebook will win.
