Wolfpack’s River Baldwin Scores Career-High in Victory over Colorado

The North Carolina State basketball team, ranked No. 10, showcased their prowess at the AP poll by defeating the No. 3 team, Colorado, at the Paradise Jam. Leading the charge was River Baldwin, scoring a career-high 26 points in a strong 78-60 finish.

Baldwin’s exceptional performance included scoring 16 points in the first half, setting the momentum for the Wolfpack’s (7-0) victory. This memorable game follows the team’s win over the then-No. 2 team, UConn, earlier this month in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Supporting Performances Propel the Wolfpack to Victory

Accompanying Baldwin’s stellar display, Aziaha James, Madison Hayes, and Madi Collins contributed significantly, tallying 13, 11 and 10 points respectively. This collective performance ensured the Wolfpack stayed ahead from game’s opening, scoring the first nine points.

Colorado’s Struggle to Keep Up

The Buffaloes (6-1) found it challenging to keep pace, with Jaylyn Sherrod and Frida Formann scoring 20 and 14 points respectively. Aaronette Vonleh, Colorado’s leading scorer, was limited to five points. A lackluster shooting performance of 3-of-17 in the first quarter allowed N.C. State to take a commanding lead.
