CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –Senior Olivia Morganti from the University of Pennsylvania’s women’s cross country team took part in her first NCAA Cross Country Championship this past weekend, finishing 144th in a time of 20:58.3.

Mid-Race Performance

A resident of Syracuse, New York, Morganti maintained a steady pace amongst a sizeable group of runners in the middle of the race. Her consistent mid-3-minute 1K time saw her move up the ranks as high as 79th out of a total of 254 participants.

Season Wrap-up and Future Prospects

After a season where she earned both All-Region and first-team All-Ivy accolades, Morganti is now looking ahead to the indoor and outdoor track campaign. She previously earned the title of second-team All-America for the 3,000m steeplechase.

The indoor track and field season is set to kick off on December 8, with the team making their way to the Ocean Breeze Complex on Staten Island for the Seahawk Invitational.
