Minorities for Medical Marijuana Celebrates Cannabis Culture at Annual Mixer

On December 7, 2023, Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM), a leading nonprofit in the cannabis and hemp industry, marked “Cannabis & Culture Celebrating 50 Years of Hip Hop” at their annual Diversity In Cannabis & Equity Mixer. The event coincided with the annual MJBiz Conference and featured keynote speaker Martin Luther King III who underlined the importance of a robust labor force to support the Black cannabis community.

During his address, King stressed that the creation of thriving businesses and entrepreneurs is a crucial step in constructing the beloved community his parents envisioned. Roz McCarthy, M4MM’s founder, and CEO, established the D.I.C.E mixer to provide a networking platform for minority members in the cannabis industry. She emphasized the importance of supporting black and brown employees in the cannabis space and encouraged networking as a means to discover unexpected opportunities.
