Capital Blue Cross Tops the List of Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania

Health Insurer recognized among just 46 large companies to secure a spot on the coveted list.

HARRISBURG – For the sixth year running, Capital Blue Cross, a leading health insurance provider in Pennsylvania, has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania”. This year, the company climbed to an impressive 15th place among large companies, marking its highest ranking yet.

Employee Satisfaction Drives Award Recognition

Capital Blue Cross, led by President and CEO Todd Shamash, greatly values this recognition as it stems from anonymous employee surveys. “Our employees have shown immense resilience and adaptability through numerous challenges over the recent years. I believe we have the best team in the market and this award serves as testament to that,” says Shamash.

Workplace Evolution in Response to the Pandemic

With the COVID-19 pandemic changing the way businesses operate, Capital Blue Cross transformed its work environment to enhance employee safety, leverage advanced technologies, and improve efficiencies. Whether working remotely, following a hybrid model, or returning to the office, the company is keen to foster in-person connections and team building among its staff.

Capital Blue Cross: A Great Place to Work

“Being named one of the Best Places to Work in PA for the sixth consecutive year is a testament to our commitment towards our employees,” said Jodi Woleslagle, Senior VP of Human Resources at Capital Blue Cross. “It’s truly heartening to see our efforts recognized by our employees who appreciate the lengths we go to, to make Capital a great place to work.”

The Best Places to Work in PA rankings, announced this week, included only 46 large companies.
