How the Best Winter Destinations Were Ranked

According to Architectural Digest, the list was compiled using data from platforms like Yelp and Airbnb about 95 selected places across the nation. Ranking factors included the local weather, comfort of accommodations, and available snow-related activities.

Each location was then categorized into six main divisions for assessment.

Pennsylvania’s Notable Winter Wonderland Destinations

Pennsylvania proudly made the list with three locations. Seven Springs appeared in the 62nd overall spot, followed by Lake Harmony in 68th, and Tannersville in 71st.

However, Colorado, known as the Centennial State, dominated the rankings with its famed mountain ranges and superb skiing opportunities.

Top Three Winter Wonderland Destinations in the U.S.

Taking the top spot was Vail, Colorado, praised for its exceptional accommodations, picturesque winter scenery, and vast range of winter activities. Hot on its heels were Aspen in second place, and Beaver Creek in third.
