Harrisburg, PA’s Premier Food Event: 108th PA Farm Show Reception

Russell Redding, Pennsylvania’s Agriculture Secretary, warmly welcomes residents of the Keystone State to sample the very best of Pennsylvania-made food and beverages at the 108th PA Farm Show’s PA Preferred^® Reception. Slated to take place on January 5th, this event effectively sets the stage for the 2024 Farm Show – an iconic part of the Pennsylvania State Fair.

“Highlighting our theme, ‘Connecting Our Communities,’ the PA Preferred reception serves as a networking hub for the top food producers in Pennsylvania,” notes Secretary Redding. “Here, they can interact with the supportive Shapiro Administration, General Assembly members and private industry representatives, as well as die-hard fans of PA-produced delicacies. Join us in this tasty tribute to our fantastic PA-Preferred producers who fill our tables and homes with the best of Pennsylvania.”

PA Preferred: Celebrating 20 Years of Local Excellence

2024 is a milestone year for the PA Preferred program, celebrating 20 years since its founding. This statewide brand has been instrumental in connecting farmers and agribusinesses with consumers, who can easily identify and purchase locally-sourced food, drinks, and other agricultural products, including hardwoods.

The PA Preferred Reception is scheduled for Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. Tickets are available at $40 for the general public. There’s a special $20 price for PA Preferred members in honor of the 20th anniversary, and free entry for military-veteran farmers associated with Home Grown By Heroes. The ticket price includes reception access, parking, hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a program featuring Pennsylvania’s best in agriculture.

PA Preferred members, and other organizations and businesses can extend their support through in-kind product donations or sponsorships. Sponsors will have their names or logos displayed during the event and will receive complimentary tickets.
