A German Citizen’s Encounter with a Pro-Palestine Protester after Displaying Israeli Flag

A German man faced an irate pro-Palestine protester after displaying an Israeli flag from his balcony during an ongoing demonstration.

The intense encounter was captured and shared by a Berlin resident named Finn Wandhoff, who witnessed a sizable pro-Palestine rally outside his apartment on Saturday evening.

According to Wandhoff, he hoisted an Israeli flag outside his window — an act that triggered a protestor to react by pounding on his door.

Wandhoff explains that he was flying the flag and playing Israel’s national anthem from his apartment just before the large crowd arrived. This action reportedly prompted the police to ask him to stop, a request he did not abide by.

As the protesters passed by, Wandhoff says he raised the flag again, leading to a man rushing upstairs and demanding entry. He contacted the police to report the incident, but claims they told him he was being ‘clearly provocative’.

It remains uncertain if Wandhoff is Jewish or not, but the incident taking place in Germany didn’t escape the attention of those viewing his footage, leading some to draw comparisons to the Nazi era.
