  • Conroy’s publicist, Gary Miereanu, asserts that Conroy performed his role with full commitment and never considered his own mortality while recording. Another Batman voice actor, Jason O’Mara, believes that Batman will eventually return in some form in future stories, as has happened with other popular characters.

Fans Disappointed Over Batman’s Death, But Voice Actor Kevin Conroy Was Aware

Fans of Kevin Conroy are expressing disappointment over Batman’s demise in a new video game. The voice actor, however, was well aware of the superhero’s fate and brought his all to the performance, according to his publicist Gary Miereanu.

Miereanu said that Conroy approached his Batman lines in “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” with the same dedication he brought to all his Batman roles, delivering a performance true to the script and the director’s guidance.

Conroy, who passed away in 2022, completed his dialogue as the dying Batman before his death. Some fans believe this video game death is a poor way to honor Conroy’s legacy as the Dark Knight, but his representative disagrees, saying that the actor’s own death probably never crossed his mind while recording.

Another Batman voice actor, Jason O’Mara, assures fans that the Batman character will return in some form in future stories, just like many other beloved characters. O’Mara believes that Conroy was aware that his Batman character was scripted to die, and he never let any Batman fan down.

Since the fan backlash surfaced, it’s been unveiled that there’s one more performance by Kevin as Batman in the vault, which gives fans a reason to look forward to his legacy.
