De Niro’s 7-Hour Fitness Regime: Trainer Reveals

Robert De Niro’s Personal Trainer Reveals Actor’s Fitness Routine

Renowned Hollywood actor Robert De Niro’s exercise regimen was brought to light during a recent gender discrimination trial involving a former assistant. The actor’s personal trainer, Daniel Harvey, provided a detailed testimony of the workout routine.

Intensity of De Niro’s Workouts

According to Harvey’s testimony, De Niro, who is now 80 years old, would engage in workouts that lasted for two to seven hours a day. This information was reportedly obtained from a court transcript by Fox News Digital.

The trainer, who has been working with De Niro for almost four decades, often travelled with the actor while he was filming. “In the beginning, I was single and had just started training with him. I would say, without exaggerating, I was with him – in New York City where I resided at the time – 330 days a year,” Harvey explained.

Workout Sessions and De Niro’s Roles

The training would usually take place at De Niro’s residence, according to Harvey. Notably, the type of workout depended on the role the actor was playing at the time. Whether De Niro needed to appear gaunt, overweight or muscular, Harvey adjusted the training accordingly.

Salary Details of De Niro’s Personal Trainer

Harvey testified that when he started working for De Niro, he was paid hourly and eventually earned a salary of $55,000. By 2009, Harvey’s pay had increased to $250,000 a year. He further hinted that his salary may have risen to $290,000 at some point, and by 2018, he was making $375,000 annually.

Contradictions in Discrimination and Harassment Claims

Harvey’s testimony served to contradict claims made by De Niro’s former assistant, Graham Chase Robinson. The ex-employee filed a lawsuit against the “Killers of the Flower Moon” star in 2019, alleging gender discrimination and harassment.

However, Harvey claimed he hadn’t been yelled at by De Niro for years. “When I was younger, it happened a lot, but not so much anymore. I pretty much know the ropes now, so to speak,” he said.

Before Robinson filed her lawsuit, De Niro had already begun legal action against her, accusing the former assistant of improper use of the company credit card, watching TV during work hours, and stealing frequent-flyer miles for personal trips.

Court Proceedings Continue

In 2022, Robinson claimed that De Niro only filed his lawsuit after finding out that she planned to bring her own claims. The trial has lasted almost two weeks, with the jury hearing from De Niro, Robinson, the actor’s lawyer and his girlfriend, Tiffany Chen. The jury began deliberations after hearing closing arguments from both sides.
